I am schizophrenia and I am a long- term mental disorder involving the break down in relation between thought, emotion, and behavior. I have my own catergory. Some symptoms I give people are delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech and behavior, and negative symptoms. Negative symptoms are an absense of normal behaviors such as lack of emotional expression, lack of interest, or a lack of interest in the world. To be disagnosed with me, someone would have to have two of these symptoms within a month.
In order to treat Schizophrenia there are multiple different options to choose to help make the disorder easier to cope with. The first would be anti psychotic medication. Anti psychotic medication helps to even out the chemical imbalance in the brain. A non-medicinal approach to treating schizophrenia would be using therapy, specifically supportive therapy that can help to give the patient behavior techniques and social skills training.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of differnt options for treatments for schizophrenia. A biomedical approch for treatment would be drugs.People can take daily pills to cope with the disease and make less illusoons and hillusinations occure or they can have the drugs injected in them but not every day. A psychotherapy method are also given to people with schizophrenia. People go to thereapy to learn how to deal with every day life tasks. they lear to cope with the disease. this treatment will help the person live witht the disorder and understand why it is happening. these treatments also help the person stay on their medicain so they dont have as may hillusinations.
